About the Role

JMC Electric Ltd. is an established electrical contracting company seeking a meticulous and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. This role is pivotal in our operations as you'll be instrumental in ensuring accurate cost estimations for projects while liaising with clients and collaborating with our technical teams. Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Thorough comprehension and application of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) while prioritizing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.

• Preparation and submission of project estimates, considering materials, labor, and associated costs.

• Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and specifications.

• Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to create accurate estimates.

• Assess material quantities and costs required for various projects.

• Regularly liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate estimations and alignment with project goals.

• Evaluate and negotiate supplier/vendor quotations for materials and services.

• Update and maintain an organized database of cost information and project records.

• Assist in reviewing project progress and offer insights for cost optimization and efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Electrical License in the province of Ontario 309A Journeyman Electrician.

• Strong proficiency in interpreting technical documents and electrical drawings.

• Proven experience in electrical estimation within the construction industry.

• Proficient computer skills, including estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

• Valid Driver's License & Good Standing Driving Record.
